Each dog is unique, possessing distinct personality traits and physical capabilities. Tailoring exercise and play to suit individual dogs is at the core of their practice. Pet sitting requires adapting to the dogs indiviudal needs.

Observing cues such as body language, energy levels, and individual tendencies allows Melanie to build trust and bond with each dog, which ensures each furry client receives the appropriate amount of exercise and engagement, promoting physical well-being and emotional fulfillment.

Stimulation

Intelligent dogs require stimulation to keep their minds engaged and fulfill their cognitive needs. Providing various forms of enrichment, such as interactive toys, and training sessions, can help challenge their intellect and prevent boredom. Regularly rotating toys and introducing new activities can keep intelligent dogs mentally sharp and satisfied.

Engaging with each dog is important particularly during overnight stays to build trust.

Happy Dogs

Working with dogs to calm separation anxiety involves a patient and structured approach tailored to each dog's needs. Sitting with pups allows them to relax, not be alone, smelling me, sensing my energy, or being pressured to do anything.

Creating a comfortable environment with soothing cues can further reduce separation anxiety in dogs. I have many regular clients with sensitive and/or senior fur babies.
